Tuesday- Thursday evenings

On Tuesday evening, Monica, Carolyn, and I ventured to a temporarily abandoned house in North Berkeley and harvested about two pints of blackberries and small, nutty, very ripe plums. The tree was ladened with plums and while I wanted to harvest many, I restrained myself and only sampled a couple. The blackberries were re-gifted to Don for an upcoming trade of white nectarines. Carolyn’s energetic children and her husband joined us for the blackberry harvest. Here is a photo of a blackberry in a sweet four year old’s hand:

And on Thursday evening, I delivered lavender to Georgia. While biking from work to Downtown Berkeley, the smell of lavender wafted behind me:
