Images from the day: shallots, peach jam, apples butter, lemon verbena

Today two things happened:

1) A Forage Oakland (free) lemonade stand. We handed out lemonade, lemon curd thumb prints, and strawberry-rhubarb preserves. We promoted Forage Oakland and enrolled a handful of members. Here is a photo of lemons before they were juiced, and here is a photo of the lemonade stand table.

2) I visited a bountiful garden off Tunnel Road and went home with many forage-ables:


Lemon verbena, shallotss, peach jam, apple butter, 4 eggs from chickens, and 3 small banana potatoes. There will be jam tutorials at this home later this summer.
