Maya’s Pomelo

Several days ago, a pomelo much like this one was delivered to me over dinner. It was harvested from my friend’s sister’s tree near the Claremont Hotel.

Advancements with Forage Oakland: Forage San Francisco have been made. Thus far, we have a supply of these forage-ables:

Apples
Apricots
Asian Pears
Blackberries
Eggs
Figs
Grapefruit
Lemons
Pears
Persimmons
Pineapple Guava
Plums (several varieties)
Sage
Tomatoes

While all these fruits, vegetables and herbs are not presently in season, they have “pledged their membership” to Forage Oakland and will be made available for harvest once they are in season. Please tell your Oakland, Berkeley, and San Francisco friends, neighbors, and co-workers about this project, because the more who join, the more variety we will have to redistribute! Reference the post entitled “How to join Forage Oakland: Forage San Francisco” for more details, or simply read the details at the top right side of this blog.
