The tamarillo, at long last

Finally, I have found out the name of this fruit. It took a bit of creative “Google image” searching, but I now know that it is called the tamarillo, or tree tomato. It grows on either a medium size tree or a large bush, and the fruit itself grows in clusters of two, three, or four. This photo was taken of a tamarillo tree in the Elmwood neighborhood. The fruit is oblong and lovely. It can be harvested in the summer.
